Meet dr. Shane Agnew

Dr Shane Agnew is a clinical gastroenterologist who was raised in Orillia, Ontario and completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario.

He completed his gastroenterology fellowship in 1995 and then practised in Sudbury, Ontario, between 1995 and 2004, working as a clinical gastroenterologist and mentor for the Northern Ontario Family Medicine Program. He completed clinical trial work, presented numerous CME events in communities in Northern Ontario, was active in committee work, and coauthored publications in Hepatology and Digestive Disease and Sciences.

Shane moved to Kelowna with his wife and two children in 2004 for an exciting new practice opportunity with Kelowna GI Associates and has continued to practice general clinical gastroenterology and hepatology.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a member of the BC College of Physicians and a member of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology.

His personal interests include curling, hiking, and travelling.
